We Make History

From humble beginnings back in 1977 when one adult football team was entered into the Cork Athletic Union League (AUL) division 3, Macroom FC has grown in the community and is now a major sports club in the Mid Cork area. Our 26 teams now cater for Adults, Youths (U17/18/19), schoolgirls/schoolboys (U12-U16) and Academy players (U7-U11). The teams are affiliates of the Munster Senior League (MSL), Cork Youth League (CYL), Cork Schoolboys League (CSL) and Cork Womens and Schoolgirls Soccer League (CWSSL). Macroom FC currently have 545 registered players from the town and surrounding parishes. The club operates under the jurisdiction of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI).

Macroom F.C. situated in mid-Cork, is a large soccer club approx 30 min drive west of Cork City. Founded in 1977, we have over 45 years experience in serving the local community.

From humble beginnings, the club has grown and now boasts over 545 playing members across 26 teams, catering for boys and girls from ages 6-17. This also includes our Under 18s, Womens U19s and two further adult teams.

The Club hopes to convert their existing grass pitch in Murrayfield to a full size, fully floodlit Astro Pitch with a community walkway in 2023 – Providing a state of the art sports facility in the centre of Macroom Town.
This is a massive undertaking that will benefit children from our extended community both now and for future generations. Creating new friendships and having fun is an inclusive fashion is at the heart of our club.
